Crafting a fun way to learn about the Management of Research Data with motion explainers for the FDMndsHAW project.
How can research data management be presented in an appealing way? Although it is essential for successful research, the topic often comes across as dry and unappealing. For the FDMndsHAW project, I developed a concept for an explainer that explains basic competencies in research data management not only clear but also entertaining.
By abstracting Data with color and shape, we were able to bring them into the physical space.
Finding a look and feel.
There are as many explainers out there as there are grains of sand on the beach. This is why we set out to craft a destinctive style used only for this project. We've kept the colors simple but striking, and the hand-drawn scenes give our animations a whimsical, approachable vibe. This playful style makes everything light, fun, and super easy to understand!
